Admasu Jembere [አድማሱ ጀምበሬ] was born in Dima Giyorgis in 1893.
He was a Ge’ez scholar and theologian who attended the debate on the Trinity in Dessie in 1914 and published a well-received lectionary in 1932/33, followed by other theological works. He was given several (academic) titles, the highest being Mälʾakä Bǝrhan (መልአከ ብርሃን).
Admasu Jembere was appreciated by Emperor Haile Selassie and was among the scholars who sought autonomy for the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church from the Coptic Church in Egypt.
He passed away in 1970.
