Soon after he has received Jesus Christ as his personal savior at Misgana Church in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Awtaru started serving the Lord with gospel songs. Shortly, he became one of the well-known multi-talented and highly motivated Ethiopian songwriter, composer and singer. He has traveled to different countries in Africa, Europe, Canada and America and ministered many Christians.
