Introduction
The Catholic Ethiopian Rite, also known as the Ge’ez Rite, was established by the Lazarist Giustino de Jacobis in the mid-19th century. The Catholic Ethiopian rite is based on the liturgical rite of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church.
