This hymnal dates from a time of secession. It was not only 2010 that the Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus and the Addis Ababa and Surrounding Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus reconciled. The 14-year split was due to ethnolinguistic conflicts.
