Introduction
After the military government under Mengistu Haile Mariam took over the radio station “ Radio Voice of the Gospel” in 1977 and renamed it “Radio Voice of the Revolution,” the Mekane Yesus Church increasingly used cassettes as an audio medium.
Most of the cassettes were recorded in Addis Ababa. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, studios were added in the west and south of the country:
Bodji (Western Synod)
